The Pure Project – Cleaning Concierge’s Community Outreach Program/Green Cleaning Initiative
About The Pure Project
While visiting a local homeless shelter during the Christmas holidays, one of the program administrators mentioned that they have a vital need for cleaning products in the facility. After realizing that these shelters also deserve to live in an eco friendly environment, Cleaning Concierge vowed to purify them one space at a time.
The Pure Project was launched to usher an effort to promote healthy, clean living to New Orleans’ homeless sheltered population. It is comprised of Covenant House, New Orleans Mission, New Orleans, Women’s Shelter and the Emma B. Bromon Liberty House. Each of these facilities works tirelessly to meet the needs of every adult and child who wants assistance in transitioning from homelessness into a stable lifestyle.
How to Purify
As an effort to live a greener way of life, we want to ensure that the homeless shelters are stocked with eco friendly cleaning supplies. Therefore, we have partnered with one of the top green product companies, Citra Solv, to assist us with giving back to our community.
For every initial client booked with us, the Pure Project will donate cleaning products to a homeless shelter listed on our roster. The recipient of the cleaning products will be determined by the client. Once the client books our services and selects the homeless shelter of their choice, Cleaning Concierge will mail the gift of cleaning products to that facility. Since this is a joint community effort, the donation will be on behalf of the client, Citra Solv and Cleaning Concierge.
Why Purify
This project is such a meaningful effort for us because this is our city, our children and our people. The homeless shelters strive to provide a home-like environment for the unsettled and abandoned people of New Orleans. With the Pure Project, we are taking it a step further by fostering a pure and clean living space for the homeless who come into these facilities from the city’s streets.
We are empowering local shelters to use the tools to make the switch to green cleaning. The Pure Project hopes to better inform shelter residents of the importance of eco friendly cleaning and what it means to their health and wellness of their family.
